Etiopien Huke Kurume
Whole Beans
159.00 kr
Farmers who supply their coffee cherries to the Huke Washing Station mainly grow the local heirloom Kurume variety. Coffee production is the producers' main source of income and the trees grow alongside food crops such as maize, cereals and bananas, in the shade of native Birbira, Wanza and Acacia trees.
The average altitude of the farms in this region is very high - around 2,000-2,200 metres above sea level. These high altitudes, combined with the unique hyperlocal variety and a quality-focused post-processing of the coffee cherries, create an elegant naturally dried coffee. The sweetness of the coffee cherries gives the coffee a smooth and fruity character with a medium and pleasant body.
