Rwanda Nyamurinda Natural
Whole Beans
139.00 kr
An experimental microlot from sisters Francine & Immaculate Nyiramana. The coffee is classified as a traditional cherry-dried coffee, but has also partially undergone an anaerobic fermentation (exactly how this has been done we do not know, but the result is very successful).
We've been big fans of the sisters coffee since day one, and this natural is no exception; it's a coffee that really delivers with ripe dark berries and mellow fruity sweetness.
In 2017 we visited the sisters Beatrice and Immaculate, who run the Nyamurinda washing station in western Rwanda, for the first time. And we have been back several times – most recently during the 2023 harvest – and we make sure to keep the relationship alive. The sisters actively support female family farmers in the region and buy their coffee largely from female producers.
Their coffee is not organically certified, but all coffee is grown under cover, neither artificial fertilizers nor pesticides are used. The coffee is characteristically wonderfully full-bodied, creamy and mildly balanced.
