Brazil Fazenda Tulha Organic
Whole Beans

The farm Fazenda Tulha is in the middle of a generational change, the son Vitor Nicolau is taking over the operation and under his leadership many new ideas are coming to life on how to move a coffee farm into the future. He has converted a tenth of the farm into organic specialty coffee production and has had 10 years to show the rest of the family that ecology in combination with specialty coffee can work.
We met up with Vitor on his part of the farm and were very impressed by his commitment and his many ideas on how to grow organically in a region where all other agriculture is conventional and based on volume. Vitor creates his own compost and grows intercrops between the rows of coffee. The farm also has conservation areas, enriched annually with the planting of native trees.
Vitor är på alla sätt ett föredöme och hans kaffe smakar så bra, det är runt och har en fin karaktär med både karamell, rostade hasselnötter, choklad och varsam frukt i karaktären.
