This black pepper grows together with coffee at the Gundikhan Estate, owned by the Saif Ulla family; Saif is the third generation to grow coffee on the plantation. The farm is located at an altitude of 1380-1600 meters in the Baba Budan Giri area.
The farm shares boundaries with the Bhadra Tiger Reserve and provides a haven for many species of birds, insects, reptiles and amphibians. It also acts as a wildlife corridor.
The pepper has a balanced spiciness and a complex aroma.
