Peru Nueva Florida

Soft Mouthfeel . Sweet citrus . Dried Fruit

Whole Beans

For the third consecutive year, we offer coffee from the Ccoillar family who 25 years ago switched from growing potatoes to coffee. They were tired of drought, bad harvests and bank loans that could never be repaid and had an idea that growing coffee was the right way forward.

The eldest son, Florentino, decided to leave his farm in the Andes and eventually found a piece of highland jungle for sale in the Rio Negro district. He planted his first coffee trees and called the emerging farm Nueva Florida. Gradually, the rest of the family has moved along.

15 years later, they run the farm together, and with joint effort, they have managed to produce a really nice organic coffee. We are happy to be able to buy their harvest and hope for a long relationship with these hard-working producers.
