A fully washed ekologiskt kaffe från Etiopien med en lätt, citruskomplex och elegant karaktär. Det är det första kaffet från Etiopien som vi rostar från 2026 års skörd!

This coffee is produced around the Hadeso washing station in the Guji region, owned by Testi Specialty Coffee. It represents the work of 500 smallholder farmers who cultivate coffee in the surrounding area. The cup is juicy and delicate, with a balanced mandarin-like acidity complemented by subtle floral notes.

In addition to producing high-quality coffee, Testi Specialty Coffee is committed to supporting the development of local communities. The company has helped build schools, supported clean water initiatives, and contributed to connecting homes to the electricity grid.

BACKGROUND

Guji is located approximately 300–400 kilometers south of Addis Ababa, in the Guji Zone of Ethiopia’s Oromia Region. The area has a long coffee-growing tradition and was established as its own coffee-producing region in 2002, when it was separated from Yirgacheffe, which had previously been part of the larger Sidamo area. Guji takes its name from the Oromo people, who have cultivated coffee here for generations.

Coffee from Guji was once lumped in with coffees from all over the Yirgacheffe region. Before Yirgacheffe was its own region, those coffees were blended with coffee from a wide geographical area that encompassed much of central-south Ethiopia under the grade “Sidamo”. Despite its long journey, Guji coffees are widely recognized as distinct from both Yirgacheffe and Sidamo coffee thanks to the unique local varieties and microclimates.

In addition to processing high-quality coffees, Testi Specialty Coffee also contributes to community wellbeing. In Sidamo, they have helped build schools for local children, supported a water project to make clean water accessible and have helped connect homes to the electricity grid.
