Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza is one of our most important producers, and we have been working with them since Gringo was founded. FAF, as the farm is known, collaborates closely with several of its neighbors, who also happen to be among Brazil’s top coffee producers.

In this bag you will find a blend of naturally dried Micro-lots from these very producers. On the family-owned farms, the coffee cherries have been slowly dried on raised drying beds, with the beans surrounded by their own fruit pulp. By combining beans with different characteristics, we achieve a coffee with a soft, pleasant acidity, caramel-like sweetness, and a round, fruity profile with clear notes of chocolate and nuts. A coffee that is made for espresso!

FELIPE CROCE
Felipe works with regenerative agriculture practices, focusing on organic coffee production, biodiversity, and social responsibility. He is an amazing personality and as good a friend as anyone can ask for. He is the guide - and exporter - of the three producers in this espresso blend.

  1. CELSO MINUSSI
On Celso´s farm, diversity truly stands out. Different Arabica varieties grow side by side, reflecting Celso’s curiosity and experimental spirit. He enjoys testing new cultivars and exploring less common varieties in the region, continuously learning from each harvest. The Bourbon variety - which is featured in this coffee - has a special place in his heart.
  2. MILTON NOGUEIRA
Milton (Miltinho) is a former banker who took over his father-in-law farm in 2004. Gentle voiced and high-spirited, Milton tends to his plants with wisdom. In-between the coffee rows one can find pineapples, corn, beans and other leguminous plants that bring a more balanced environment and life to his farm.
  3. JOÃO HAMILTON
João Hamilton was one of the first coffee farmers in Brazil to begin experimenting with creating micro-lots from exotic varieties. He owns the Sítio Canaa farm in the Caconde region and has also built his own processing facility where he helps his neighbors process their coffee. He is an amazing producer!
