Happy Little Surprise – Low Caf. Summer Brew

Everyday life at a roasting machine may seem exotic from the outside, but the truth is that much of the work involves trying not to deviate from fixed roast profiles. Once a coffee's unique roast profile is nailed down, it's a matter of repeating the same roast - again and again; it requires consistency and alertness. But when the heat hits full force in a roastery with poor air circulation, attention can temporarily be lost and a mistake is made, which is what happened to Johan on the afternoon of July 17; two coffees accidentally mixed in the roast and a new coffee blend emerged, which, after a quick tasting, we named "Low Caf. Summer Brew".

So in this bag you will find the last of a very fruity coffee from Papua New Guinea, together with a Decaf from Colombia. The result was almost shockingly successful, the taste is very smooth and medium-bodied with a nice berry and fruit sweetness.
