PERU NUEVA FLORIDA
SOFT MOUTH FEEL / DRIED FRUIT / SWEET CITRUS
Twenty-five years ago, the Ccoillar family saddled from growing potatoes to coffee cultivation, they had tired of drought, bad harvests and bank loans that could never be repaid. Florentino's eldest son decided to leave his childhood home in the Andes and eventually found a piece of highland jungle for sale in the Rio Negro district. He planted his first coffee trees and called the emerging farm Nueva Florida. Gradually, the rest of the family moved. 15 years later they grow together, and with joint effort they have managed to produce a really fine organic coffee. We at Gringo are happy to know their harvest and hope for a long relationship with these hard working producers.
