This little microlot from the variety Bourbon Chiroso - with its exotic flavor - comes from Linarco Rodriguez Ospina, who, together with his family, grows many different varieties on their farm Betania in the Huila region. Chiroso, like Geisha, is a native Ethiopian variety, which has landed in Colombia for unknown reasons.

The coffee on this micro-lot has been hand-picked, peeled from its pulp, fermented anaerobically for 72 to 90 hours in sealed barrels, then dried in the sun for about 12 days. The result is a floral coffee with an elegant profile of bergamot, herbs and sun-ripened stone fruit. In many ways, the coffee is in its taste reminiscent of its cousin Geisha, but here with a slightly greater body and smoother fruit sweetness.
